KentuckianaWorks and Mayor Greg Fischer offer youth in Louisville two ways for high school students to land a summer job: The Mayor’s Youth Opportunity Showcase and The Mayor’s SummerWorks Program. Both serve youth ages 16-21. Check out the information below and plan to register!
A new KentuckianaWorks program -- College to Career -- helps rising juniors and seniors in college find employer-paid internships. Below is information about how to apply for an internship this summer!
The Youth Events Calendar offers information about Kentucky Youth Career Center events, training, job fairs and other education, training and career opportunities for youth.
This FREE job fair was for youth ages 16-21. Hundreds of youth got to meet and talk with local employers who have jobs to fill right now and for the summer.
If you were unable to attend the event, check out the Mayor's SummerWorks program below. It's another way to get an opportunity for a summer job.
By getting a job through this program, you can earn money plus you can learn important skills that will prepare you for future jobs.
Last summer, SummerWorks found jobs for more than 2,000 young people. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to be considered for a summer jobs.
Registration for the Mayor's SummerWorks program for 2016 will be posted on the KentuckianaWorks home page in the fall of 2015. Check back then.

The KentuckianaWorks College to Career Internship Program aims to create a better framework for connecting local college students with the local business community through employer-paid internships. The program is available to rising junior and senior college students in the KentuckianaWorks region. The program staff is working now to fill internship positions for this summer. Application for fall internships will be accepted this summer.
