Business First, Louisville's unemployment rate is dropping, but the work force is shrinking

KentuckianaWorks' second labor market report for the Greater Louisville region found that the unemployment rate fell to 4.8 percent for the fourth quarter of 2014, with more than 595,000 people working at the end of last year.

KentuckianaWorks is an agency of Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government that serves as the work-force investment board for the Greater Louisville area, which includes Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties.
