Courier-Journal, West End preservation 'boot camp' planned

As Richard Dunn, 25, helped install a restored wood-frame window and scrape off excess shellac last week at a nearly 100-year-old former school building in Prospect, he showed what skills could be learned through a new preservation craftsman training program planned for west Louisville.

Dunn and other students from local social services career agencies were participating in a week-long "Window Restoration Boot Camp," a pilot project for the new program.
