Bolstered by a new study saying the Louisville and Lexington region could become a manufacturing hub, Jefferson Community & Technical College is stepping up its efforts to obtain state funding for a new regional manufacturing and automotive training center.

JCTC already is involved in training students in entry-level manufacturing skills as a partner in the new Kentucky Manufacturing Career Center at the Airport Industrial Center on Southside Drive.
