American Moving and Storage Association's Driver Recruitment Panel Meets

Date Published: 6/25/2013

Members of AMSA's (American Moving and Storage Association)Driver Recruitment and Retention Committee (DRRC) held a full-day session last week in Alexandria to assess the progress of the Registered American Moving Professionals (RAMP) program, created to find and train new van operators. The group also focused on other industry recruitment issues.

Despite relatively few graduates from the first class of candidates, the committee members felt the course should be repeated, and the program held promise for eventual expansion to other regions of the country (currently the graduates must be based in the Kentucky/Indiana area because of restrictions from government agencies helping fund the program).
