A program to give young adults a summer job kicks off today. Mayor Greg Fischer's SummerWorks program is accepting applications from anyone who is 18-21 years old and is looking for a summer job.

The program is looking to get 800 young adults jobs for the summer, which is double the amount the program handled last summer. The jobs would be with well known local companies like Amazon and GSI Commerce and some could lead to permanent jobs once the program is over.
