Date Published: 10/3/2012

A new program through KentuckianaWorks will provide free training for people who want to become long-distance moving van drivers-- jobs that can pay $40,000 per year or more.

Over the next few weeks, 100 people in Louisville and the surrounding region will be selected to gain moving van operator skills through training. Graduates of the training will earn a Registered American Moving Professionals (RAMP) certification, a nationally recognized credential by moving van companies in the American Moving and Storage Association, according to a news release.
