Mayor's Office, Mayor Fischer to award funding to young entrepreneurs tonight

SummerWorks2012 youth will receive start-up money for new businesses

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer will honor participants of the SummerWorks2012 jobs program who have dreams of becoming Louisville’s next young entrepreneurs this evening at the Mayor’s Ice House Entrepreneurial Competition, at the JCTCS Health Sciences Building in Louisville.

The top four business plan finalists out of more than 20 individual and team entries will pitch their business plans and ideas to local entrepreneurs who will serve as judges. The top business plan will receive $1,000 in start-up money. Three runners-up will each receive $500 to help launch their ventures.
