Unemployed and underemployed workers in the seven-county KentuckianaWorks region can now apply for KentuckianaWorks Scholarships that will fund tuition costs, books and supplies for up to two years. Nearly $800,000 in federal funding is available for training in targeted occupations in six career sectors.
“This is great news for the Louisville area and our 55,000 Degrees program, which seeks to put postsecondary education degrees within the reach of more working people,” said Mayor Greg Fischer.
