A new jobs website has been launched. If you're looking for a job, chances are you're spending much of your time online. Amid warnings about job scams, local workforce development boards have launched a new web portal -- kix.com.

The forces behind kix.com say it's not only safe, but it's monster.com's first Web portal focused on one region --26 counties in Kentucky and Indiana along the I-65 corridor with Louisville as hub. Kix.com stands for Kentucky-Indiana exchange. It's free to both employers and job seekers, and paid for by the U.S. Labor Department.
