The Courier-Journal, Fischer: REimage offers youth a second chance

Amid a seven-year high homicide spike, Mayor Greg Fischer unveiled a $200,000 city initiative Tuesday to give youth offenders jobs and an opportunity to finish school in hopes it will help break the cycle of violence that has overtaken Louisville.

Joined by LMPD Chief Steve Conrad and other community partners, Fischer said the program, REimage, will target individuals ages 18-24 who are charged or convicted with an adult misdemeanor.
