A job development program is getting a big raise of its own. KentuckianaWorks will get a $2 million boost to train unemployed and under-employed residents in Kentucky's seven-county region for better jobs.

The funds come from the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and it will pay for scholarships, uniforms, tools and books for two years to study advanced manufacturing, healthcare, IT among other fields.
