Business First, Work-force training scholarships planned for Louisville

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer announced $2 million in work-force training scholarships for metro-area residents Thursday.

The money is coming from the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014, via KentuckianaWorks, a local work-force development agency. To qualify for the training scholarships, residents need to go to a Kentucky Career Center office in Jefferson, Bullitt or Shelby counties, a news release said.
