The Louisville-area job market has been on fire over the past several years, with unemployment lower than it’s been in a decade. Even better, many of the most in-demand jobs in the region pay comparatively high wages.

This information comes from a new jobs report from KentuckianaWorks titled “State of the Louisville Regional Labor Market,” which focuses on job trends for both the first quarter of 2015 and all of 2014. The report’s data covers the Louisville Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA): Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble counties in Kentucky; plus Clark, Floyd, Hamilton, Scott, and Washington counties in Indiana.
